99 different ways to say BEAUTIFUL

There are so many luscious synonyms for ‘beautiful’. So why do we stick with this overused word?  Beautiful. It’s a great word that can apply to so many situations. Jacaranda trees in bloom are beautiful. The ocean under a cloudy sky is a thing of beauty. So is a perfectly worded website (well, I think so).

My son says to me “Mummy! You are beautiful!” But then, he thinks Darth Vader is “Cute” so I can’t take the compliment too seriously. It works in so many situations, but is in serious danger of overexposure.

And there are sooooo many other ways to say it. Some of them are no-brainers, others are clinging to their place in the English language and are uttered all too rarely.

Here’s a resolution for 2019: use ‘beautiful’ less and share some of these pearlers more.
